Every father's day you see those cards titled "best grandad" but my bampy definitely was just that. More than a grandad. He was a best friend. Someone I truly admired, respected, loved and was absolutely proud of. He was there for me at every stage throughout my life. I have so many memories, from going on runs in the car with the pigeons, trips to the Royal Welsh show, picking me up from school every day and collecting my gcse results. Throughout my childhood I was always up "the top" (the top of the garden) with my Bamp, probably hindering more than helping. He always encouraged me to do well in life. Education was important and I wanted nothing more than to make him proud. I've got no doubt that you're shining bright up there Bamp, because the world is definitely not the same without you xxx love you always xxx
