From happier times in Photos Gallery I've included two photos of our cousin Doreen James (nee Hackling) 85th and 90th birthday party in Sept 2009 and 2014.
Two memories come to mind with Gordon. When Dad was replacing his roof. Together Dad and I couldnt lift the roll of lead for the valley. Gordon just picked the roll up, put it on his shoulder, and marched up the ladder. Then when I told Gordon that my daughter had gone to live in Pontnewynydd. With a smile he said "Oh Pontnewynydd! They settle their arguments with hatchets up there...
God Bless Gordon. You were always ready to help anyone, and a real pleasure to talk to.
